HISTORY

Fibernetics was founded in 1974 as a manufacturer of Van Conversion tops and running boards.

During the late 70's, Fibernetics transitioned into contract manufacturing, producing fiberglass components for motor homes, shuttle buses, hearses, catering trucks, etc.

Fibernetics was relocated to 1418 S. Alameda Street at the turn of the decade, where its’ main office would remain until 2004.

Fibernetics acquired Vacuum Forming operations in 1984. The Acquisition expanded our offerings to existing customers and allowed entry into new markets such as Sporting goods, Medical accessories and Tractor trailer components.

Fibernetics was purchased by Deflecta-Shield in 1993 after successfully launching the first gel-cote color matched line of Fiberglass Running Boards for SUVs and Pick-up Trucks.

Fibernetics then expanded into Urethane production and Automotive Class Painting in 1994.

In 1999, Lund International (Parent company of Deflecta-Shield) sold Fibernetics to a private investment group.

In December 2001, the investment group sold Fibernetics to Steel Horse Automotive, who later filed bankruptcy in September 2002.

In December 2002, the Assets of Fibernetics were acquired by Berryman Products Inc.

In April 2004, the assets of Fibernetics were purchased by Franklin Acquisition, LLC.

In June 2007, Fibernetics relocated to 19940 Hansen Ave, Nuevo, CA 92567.
